E4D Same-Day Crowns, Inlays, Onlays, & Veneers

Dental restorations can be affordable and attractive options for repairing damaged teeth. Crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers can all be effective at concealing imperfections in the teeth.

In the past, such restorations involved the dentist taking dental impressions and sending them to a dental lab that was tasked with crafting the devices. That step often took several weeks.

One disadvantage of that approach is that the patient had to wait for period of time before the restoration was ready for placement. Either the patient had to go without a device during that time or wear a temporary one, which was often an unpleasant solution, even in the short-term.

A more modern restoration process is now an option, and it’s a major improvement on the old technique.

Our practice is equipped with the E4D dental system, which allows patients to have their restoration placed on the same day as their evaluation.

The E4D system takes advantage of the latest technology, including laser scanning tools and advanced design software.

A laser wand is used to scan the teeth, replacing the uncomfortable and messy dental impression method. The data collected is then transmitted wirelessly to our in-office milling station and your restoration is designed virtually. You’ll get a sneak peek of it, too.

Details regarding the desired shade are also incorporated into the design, which is ready for placement during your appointment. You’ll leave with a permanent restoration in place. There’s no need to settle for an uncomfortable, ill-fitting temporary device.

Plus, cutting out the middle step involving the dental lab drastically reduces the treatment timeline, as another advantage of the E4D system.
